Emma Starkey Johnston went all out and spent an enormous amount of time and effort finding us a home mortgage loan with the best possible terms in a dynamic, rapidly changing financial market. She worked relentlessly contacting four lenders repeatedly to keep our application on the front burner and worked various angles to secure a mortgage that suited our needs and situation. She used her experience and knowledge of both the housing and financial lending markets to give us sound advice on how to select the mortgage terms, balancing length and interest rate offerings.

Since most our money was invested overseas and this was our first home we purchased in New Zealand, our financial situation was unique and somewhat problematic, making lenders quite reluctant to approve our mortgage application. Yet Emma was persistent in her quest to succeed and ultimately prevailed where other mortgage brokers had failed or simply given up.

Emma’s communication skills were outstanding and she explained in detail using easy to understand language, addressing all aspects of the process and exhibited patience to explain the very basics to newcomers who were novices at the loan process and terminology.
